Kamchatka’s up-to-date fish processing combine to be launched soon / September 19, 2019 12:25
Kamchattralflot LLC (resident of the Advanced Special Economic Zone Kamchatka) is pre-commissioning the processing line installed on the premises of its new state-of-the-art fish combine. The plant will be launched in early October 2019 - almost six months ahead of schedule.
The combine will operate all the year round and process whitefish, mainly Alaska pollock and herring. Every day it will be able to produce 270 tons of frozen whitefish products, 100 thousand units of canned fish, 27 tons of fishmeal, 6 tons of fishoil and 17 tons of minced meat.
The combine’s own dockside will be equipped with a fish pump to deliver chilled fish from onboard RSW tanks directly to the factory. Its wastewater treatment unit will process up to 800 cubic meters of water per day.
Furnished with state-of-the-art equipment from Denmark, Germany and other European countries the fish combine will become one of the most advanced not only in Kamchatka and the Russian Far East, but also in Russia as a whole. The combine will create 160 new highly paid jobs.
The total project cost is 2.3 billion rubles, 1.6 billion of which are borrowed as bank loans.
The investor will enjoy a whole range of government support measures. The status of an ASEZ resident allows the company to use the free customs zone procedure and not to pay fees, which has already saved about 20 million rubles for the company. When the plant takes off, a number of tax privileges will enter into force. The province's government will also give the company its support such reimbursement of the bank interest rates.
Kamchattralflot participates in the government program on investment quotas linked to construction of new processing facilities. And after the combine takes off in early October 2019 the company is waiting for extra capture quotas to be handed over at the beginning of 2020.
