Major fishing combine signing more investment quota agreements with Russia’s fishery body / September 12, 2019 12:33

Four companies operating as part of Norebo Group signed investment quota agreements with the Federal Agency for Fishery (Rosrybolovstvo) at the Eastern Economic Forum held in early September in Vladivostok.

According to the agreements, Akros, Blaf, Roliz and Sakhalin Leasing Fleet will get extra quotas for capture of Alaska pollock and herring when they build four new factory trawlers.

In total, Norebo plans to build a series of ten state-of-the-art 81.6-meter fishing vessels under the project No.170701. Six trawlers will work in the North Fisheries Basin and four in the Russian Far East.

All vessels will be built at the Northern Shipyard in St. Petersburg. At present, three vessels have already been laid and four are to be laid in November later this year. The trawlers meant for operations in the Russian Far East are to be commissioned in 2022-2023.

The vessels’ construction will be backed by Norebo’s own funds with the financial support of Sberbank of Russia.
