Russia's Federal Fisheries Agency has released fresh figures on wild salmon catch in the Russian Far East as per 20 August current

As per 17 August cod and pollock have been recorded as the main drivers of the national catch on the growth side while wild salmon fishes of the Russian Far East have heavily contributed in the opposite direction causing an overall decrease on the last year

The Russian catch in January -July 2012 declined by about 66000 tonnes though some main species like pollock in the Russian Far East displayed an increase
