Russian Fishery Company (RFC) is a rapidly developing commercial fishing enterprise established in 2011 by a group of Russian private investors aiming to consolidate fishing assets in different regions of Russia. Today RFC includes large fishing companies of the Russian Far East, such as TURNIF OJSC, INTRAROS CJSC, Vostokrybprom LLC and Sovgavanryba LLC that are harvesting fish in environmentally safe waters of the Russian Far East. The Company’s 13 fishing vessels, including Captain Oleynichuk, Vladivostok, Borodino and Berezina, are well suited to work in all fishing areas and under all climate conditions. They are equipped with modern state-of-the-art technological equipment from the leading international suppliers that enable the vessels to harvest different types of seafood. The primary fishing target species are Alaska Pollock and Pacific Herring. The Company also catches laemonema and crab.
Two of the Company’s transport vessels provide an uninterrupted supply line to the trawlers and deliver products to our customers.
The Company owns a warehouse and a docking facility in Vladivostok that allows the Company to carry out technical maintenance of the fleet in between voyages at minimum costs.
RFC employs over 1500 people.
Russian Fishing Company is the largest national fish harvester: estimated 2017 total catch is more than 303 thousand tons, including 226.3 thousand tons of Alaska Pollock and 65.5 thousand tons of Pacific Herring.
In 2015, RFC’s revenues reached USD 223 million, while the EBIDTA for the same period was USD 104 million, according to IFRS statements.
According to accounting reports, in 2016 these figures amounted to USD 238.1 million and USD 107.1 million USD respectively.
