Vietnamese company BASEAFOOD (Ba Ria- Vung Tau Seafood Processing and Im-Ex Joint Stock Company) majoring in seafood processing, import and export has boosted its sales and product range on the Ukrainian market, reports http://www.megafishnet.com/ (https://www.fishnet.ru/) with reference to fishery sources.

In the first eight months of 2010 the company's export turnover rose by 15% on the same period of 2009.

By the end of August 2010 the company exported more than 5600 metric tons of ready-to-eat products at the total value of ca.10.4 million USD. Japan is the largest import market for the company's products. It is followed by South Korea, Russia, Ukraine, Belarus and EU.

The company says it is especially satisfied with its operations on the Ukrainian market. More specifically, in January-August 2010 BASEAFOOD had no problems with exports of its seafood products to the Ukraine and its shipments to the market were stable. While in 2009 the company mostly focused on exports of dried products to the Ukrainian market, in 2010 it concentrated on shellfish products.
