Vietnamese export of skinless boneless catfish tra and basa fillet to Russia for 10 months of 2007
In 2007 Russia was the second largest importer of catfish fillet from Vietnam, informed sources in Vietnam told http://www.fishnet-russia.com/ with the reference to VASEP. Export volume of catfish tra and basa skinless, boneless to Russia in first ten months 2007 increased by 5.3% in comparison with the same period of the year 2006. In particular, export volume to Russia from Vietnam amounted to 36,047 MT. The export value has also increased by 2.4% up to USD 68,629 million.
During the same period from January to October 2007 Ukraine imported 19,803 MT of catfish tra and basa skinless, boneless from Vietnam with the value amounting USD 33,969 million. Thus, in comparison with the same period of 2006 export of this product from Vietnam to the Ukraine has increased by more than 190% in volume and by more than 161% in value terms.
