Scottish Marine Aquaculture Awards 2011: Short List of Finalists Announced

Scottish Aquaculture is widely acknowledged as the best in the world and these awards recognise "the best of the best" in the industry. Click here for the 2011 Shortlist, reports www.megafishnet.com with reference Association of Scottish Shellfish Growers.

The awards celebrate the achievements and success of an industry that is vitally important to Scotland and its rural communities.

These awards are open to everyone involved in the Scottish Marine Aquaculture Industry, including smolt suppliers, no matter how large or small, who:

-Employ the highest standards of aquaculture husbandry

-Supply Scottish marine aquaculture products to local, national and international markets

-Farm with a high level of environment awareness; and

-Deliver a high-quality product

Organised by The Crown Estate, and supported by a number of commercial partners as sponsors, the awards are free to enter. They highlight the many good things happening in Scottish Marine Aquaculture and give due recognition to those who are making an exceptional contribution to industry, now and for the future.

Entry to the 2011 awards is now closed.

The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony and dinner to be held at Prestonfield, Edinburgh on the 9th June 2011.
