Saint Petersburg hosting 19th Russian-Greenland consultations on fisheries cooperation in 2011

In early December 2011 Saint Petersburg hosted 19th Russian-Greenland consultations on fisheries cooperation in 2011, reports http://www.megafishnet.com/ (https://www.fishnet.ru/) with reference to the nation's Federal Fisheries Agency.

In the course of consultations the sides have exchanged information on condition of raw fish resources of the Barents Sea, East and West Greenland, statistic data on catches in the Russian EEZ in the Barents Sea and the fishing zone of Greenland as well as on scientific and technological cooperation.

The sides have informed each other on currently valid fishery regulations and procedure of fishing permits issue in Russia's EEZ in the Barents Sea and in the fishing zone of Greenland in 2011.

As a result of consultations the sides have agreed Russian quotas 2011 in the fishing zone of Greenland and Greenland quotas in the Russian EEZ in the Barents Sea. The Russian delegation has received larger quotas for ocean perch capture in the waters of East Greenland.
