Russia's Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance Rosselkhoznadzor planning checks of foreign plants

Until the end of 2008 Russia's Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance Rosselkhoznadzor is planning to continue checks of foreign processing plants and vessels interested in export of their seafood products to Russia, according to an official release received by http://www.fishnet-russia.com/ (https://www.fishnet.ru/).

More specifically, the Russian vets are going to inspect fish plants in Austria, India, China, Columbia, New Zealand, South Korea, and Ecuador. The particular companies willing to export their seafood to the Russian Federation will file the respective applications to their national food safety authorities, and the service will receive the list of plants to be checked.
