Russian vets released list of approved Italian exporters
In order to avoid importation to the Russian Federation of hazardous seafood in terms of veterinary and sanitary safety, Russia's Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance Rosselkhoznadzor has imposed temporary restrictions on importation of such products from the non-approved fish processing plants of Italy as of 10 May 2009, reports www.fishnet-russia.com (www.fishnet.ru) with reference to the Service.
The restrictions have been introduced under the Service's directive No. FS-NV-4/3347 dated 27 April 2009.
Products shipped from non-approved Italian plants after 10 May 2009 are not allowed to be imported to the territory of the Russian Federation.
