Russian vets introducing temporary restriction for seafood shipments from Irish fish processor

Due to discovery of Staphyloccoccus aures, bacteria of the colibacillus group, excessive quantity of mesophilic aerobic and elective anaerobic microorganisms in frozen fish Russia's Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance Rosselkhoznadzor has introduced temporary restrictions for seafood shipments from an Irish plant, reports www.fishnet-russia.com (www.fishnet.ru) with reference to the Service.

More specifically, the Russian vets has restricted seafood shipments from the Irish plant Artik Fish DL 0041 ES from 1 July 2009.

In case of receipt of seafood products shipped before 1 July 2009 from the above plant the decision on cargo's permits shall be taken in the established order.
