Russia's Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance Rosselkhoznadzor has cancelled temporary restrictions for seafood import from one Ecuadorian plant, reports www.fishnet-russia.com (www.fishnet.ru) with reference to the Service.

More specifically, under the directive No. FS-NV-4/9113 dated 25 August 2009 the Russian vets have cancelled restrictions for seafood import from the Ecuadorian plant No. 197 (Pescados Camarones Y Maricos S.A. DOCAPES) as of 5 September 2009. Therefore the Service's directive No. FS-EN-4/10059 dated 5 October 2007 has been partly changed.

In case of discovery of incompliance of the plant's seafood products with the Russian safety standards the Russian vets shall be immediately informed.
