Russian veterinary inspectors rejecting consignment of Danish shrimps

November 26, 2007 16:28

Russian veterinary inspectors from the Saint-Petersburg department of the nation's Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance Rosselkhoznadzor have rejected an 18.5-tonne consignment of Danish shrimps and returned it to the sender, according to the Russian Ministry of Agriculture.

The thing was that the accompanying veterinary certificate was not attested by a signature and a stamp of a veterinarian of Denmark's State Veterinary Service. Besides, the production date and number of seal on the container did not agree with the production date and the number of seal discovered during the inspection.
