By the middle of November 2007 the market prices for pink salmon have fairly stabilized enabling the market players to forecast that the prices will remain at the same level through to February 2008, a major distributor and exporter told www.fishnet-russia.com (www.fishnet.ru).

More specifically, as per mid-November head-on gutted pink salmon of the 1st grade fit for processing was available from RUB50.00 to RUB52.00 per kilo and the traders were forecasting the prices to rise further.

Silverside w/r pink salmon of the 1st grade was available from RUB47.00 to RUB49.00 per kilo and the traders were forecasting the prices to rise steadily until the start of the New Year when they were expected to stagnate.

Head-on gutted pink salmon without any special grading was also marketed from RUB47.00 to RUB49.00 and the product was not expected to appreciate at least until April 2008.

W/r pink salmon with emerging defects was available from RUB46.00 to RUB48.00 per kilo without any further price growth expected until the start of the new season.
