Russian producers pool to beef up selling power at APO roe auctions in Japan

March 6, 2007 16:13

Vladivostok-based Alaska Pollock Harvesters Association has recently met to discuss possibilities to increase selling power by consolidating sales of APO roe at the Japanese auctions.

The emerging single policy is supposed to reverse the sporadic oversupply of the market last year when non-coordinated sales by Russian players resulted into grossly undermined prices.

As a result, the participants of the meeting have drafted the sale schedule, listed desired auctions and outlined the volume of expected sales.
