Russia introducing ban for commercial crab fisheries in nation's Far East

Russia's Federal Fisheries Agency has introduced a ban for commercial crab fisheries in one of the subareas of the nation's Far East Basin in 2010, reports www.megafishnet.com (www.fishnet.ru) with reference to the Agency.

More specifically, in the year 2010 the Agency has banned commercial operations on the grounds of blue king crab, golden king crab as well as triangle tanner crab in the West Kamchatka subarea.

The corresponding order No.1 dated 8 January 2010 has been registered by the Ministry of Justice on 26 January 2010 (registration number 16066).
