Russia Bering Sea and Sea of Okhotsk pollock arriving at final stage

The certification body, Moody Marine Ltd., has announced that the Russia Sea of Okhotsk and Bering Sea pollock fishery is now entering the information gathering phase of the assessment, reports http://www.megafishnet.com/ with reference to MSC.

The primary objective of this stage is to collect information on the fishery and in particular to speak to representatives of the fishery, fishery management bodies and other stakeholders of the fishery. Meetings will be carried out over the period 1st to 11th March 2011 in Vladivostok, Primorsky Krai, Russia.

Any stakeholder with information on this fishery that should be considered in the assessment, or who wishes to meet with Moody Marine should contact Steve Devitt, no later than 9am PST, 24th February 2011.
