Russia approves list of licensed cold stores for import shipments

August 20, 2008 16:21

Russia's Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance Rosselkhoznadzor has introduced a new regulation stipulating that all imports of fish into Russia should only go to licensed cold stores and warehouses, as of July this year, a spokesman of the service told www.fishnet-russia.com (https://www.fishnet.ru/).

These companies have been approved by the Service for storage and holding of fish, fish products, and other marine products. The list of approved companies is 84 pages long, but even so not all companies operating in the various fishing regions were approved. More specifically, the list contains 35 cold stores based in Moscow, 20 companies in Saint Petersburg, 38 cold stores based in Murmansk, 27 based in Kaliningrad, and 51 based in Vladivostok-led Primorsky Krai.
