Russia's Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov has met with his Norwegian colleague Jonas Gahr Støre to discuss international cooperation aimed at unification of the fishing rules in all the waters of the Barents Sea, reports www.fishnet-russia.com (www.fishnet.ru) with reference to Rosbalt.

According to the press-service of Russia's Ministry, the meeting has been organized in order to minimize cases of arrests of Russian and Norwegian vessels on the fishing grounds of Russia's and Norway's EEZs.

The Russian side has also seconded development of corresponding proposals already by the autumn session of the Mixed Fisheries Commission.
