Plant certification deadlines postponed

In an early-June interview Rosselkhoznadzor chief Sergey Dankvert said that the certification of foreign plants willing to export their seafood to Russia would likely be completed this fall. Besides, he explained that for some countries the certification's deadline was impossible to be realized and the vets decided to postpone the deadline for such countries (e.g. Argentina).

The first checks were already conducted at fish factories in Vietnam and China, he said. Currently, Russian experts are inspecting fish enterprises in Uruguay. The certification of fish enterprises in Chile will also take place soon.
