"The growth we are seeing in exports of Norwegian Salmon is attributable to both an increase in the volume of exports and increased prices, and reflects the continuing strong global demand for salmon as well as reduced competition," explains Paul Aandahl, market analyst from the Norwegian Seafood Export Council.

September also saw a new record for Norwegian Salmon exports, which increased in value by NOK 737 million or 34% to NOK 2.9 billion. This is the highest export value ever registered for Norwegian Salmon in a single month.
