Norpac Coming Closer To Sustainability Certification

Norpac has completed the initial phase of third party certification for Sustainability regarding our Bigeye Ahi production. Norpac hired Moody Marine to complete a Pre-Assessment for certification by Marine Stewardship Council, reports www.megafishnet.com with reference to Norpac.

The Pre-Assessment is designed to determine which species are impacted by the company's fishing operations. This includes not only targeted species, but rather takes a more holistic approach by looking at overall environmental impact on non targeted species such as sea turtles, marine mammals, seabirds, sharks and others.
