Murmansk marine fish port reporting results of operations in 2009

In July 2009 Murmansk Marine Fish Port handled 18,000 tonnes of fish products, 1000 tonnes up on July 2008, reports www.fishnet-russia.com (https://www.fishnet.ru/) with reference to B-Port.

In January-July 2009 the port handled 153,000 tonnes of seafood cargoes, 48,000 tonnes up on the same period last year.

Now the port is going through a scheduled repair campaign. More specifically, the boiler department is getting ready for winter, the cranes are being tuned in compliance with the requirements of the technical surveillance body, and the coldstores sector is being repaired with the freezing chambers being thawed out.
