Murmansk Marine Fish Port boosting turnover thanks to flexible charges

In the first ten days of November 2007 some 35 fishing vessels owned by the Russian and foreign companies moored at OAO Murmansk Marine Fish Port (plc) boosting its turnover to 11,000 tonnes of frozen and 176 tonnes of chilled products.

According to the company, the provisional calculations show that the turnover through November current is expected to exceed 19,000 tonnes, plus 4000 tonnes on the corresponding result of November 2006.

The increase of the port's turnover is attributed to its new policy of flexible port dues. Stabilization of the company's operations has enabled online handling of fishing and transportation vessels as well as duly payments of wages.
