Murmansk-based fishing companies to build new trawlers

Three Murmansk-based fishing companies are ready to build vessels, reports http://www.megafishnet.com/ with reference to Fishery Resources.

Namely, Robinson Company, Murmansky Gubernsky Flot and Murmanseld-2 Company have already arranged for the funds required for building the vessels and developed vessels designs.

Two of these vessels will be of middle class to fish groundfish species, while Robinson Company is to build a larger freezer trawler with the cost of building amounting to Euro 50 million, the Robinson Company has already prepared a business plan and raised funds for the building.

The company says, that the Russian shipbuilding yards are not able to build such a vessel, that is why Robinson has been negotiating with foreign builders. The Robinson Company hopes to place the order and to start building the freezer trawler this year. It is said, that the order may be placed in Poland, Croatia and Spain.
