Moscow frozen foods group doubles capacity of seafood plant
Total production capacity of the new line is 10 million cans per year. The company has invested more than USD 2 million in the extension.
The new equipment installed is of German origin (Hermann WALDNER GmbH & Co. KG). The new line will operate as a full cycle of seafood production (from raw material to packaging) and is fully automated. It is equipped with a portion weighing device. The new equipment is said to increase the total production capacity more than twice.
As per mid-May 2007 German specialists completed assembling of the equipment and started its balancing and commissioning.
Along with this, German specialists have trained Lyodovo's personnel to work with the new equipment. The first products manufactured at the new processing line will come to the Russian and other countries' retail sector as of 30 May 2007. According to managing director of the Ledovo company, the installation of the state-of-the-art technologies will help boost "Ledovo" label and its new products range on international market.
