From mid-June to mid-July 2012 Russia's Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (Rosselkhoznadzor) has issued a number of directives concerning importation of finfish and other seafood products onto the territory of the Russian Federation. These include enhanced lab controls, imposed and lifted restrictions on companies from a number of countries, reports http://www.megafishnet.com/.

The countries affected include Armenia, Cyprus, Vietnam, Canada, China, Denmark, Greece, Netherlands, USA and Chile.
