January 11, 2021 21:34

Russia’s vet watchdog Rosselkhoznadzor has held negotiations with the Mexican colleagues on the issue of mutual access for livestock products to the markets of the both countries, reports Megafishnet.com.

Apart from meat, representatives of the Federal Commission for Sanitary Safety of Mexico and Rosselkhoznadzor also discussed the possibility for export of Russian fish and fish products to Mexico.

Earlier, the Russian vets submitted the necessary information on the interested Russian fish processing enterprises and now they are expecting the promised feedback from the Mexican services in the first quarter 2021.

The two sides have also looked into the results of Mexican meat packing plants’ inspection conducted in 2017. The Mexicans said that in the near future they would send documentary proof of the elimination of systemic violations, as well as violations at the inspected plants.
