Prices for fish products from Russian Far East driven by active demand
As per mid-April 2021 the first hand prices for quite a number of products from the Russian Far Eastern Fisheries have been gathering momentum, reports Megafishnet.com.
According to producer sources in the area, the demand is active. Chinese ports have been rising traffic of container cargoes while the ports handling reefer vessels remain closed.
Meanwhile frozen seafood delivery tariff from Vladivostok to Moscow by railway has been stable at RUR16-17 per kg.
Alaska pollock
Prices for headed pollock have been rising against the background of a short supply. The Okhotsk season ended up with a lag of nearly 150,000MT year-on-year. Producers send their APO products for export.
On the international market Russian HG pollock 25+ fetches USD1,400 per tonne CFR China with the upward price trend forecasted.
