Moscow salmon and trout market still waiting for season’s rally
As per early December 2020 the wholesale salmon and trout market is under the influence of a number of factors that slow down the sales dynamics, reports Megafishnet.com.
Chilean salmon is traded at high prices and is mostly delivered to the regions. Prices show no indications of a decline. Faroese salmon does not appreciate amid low demand from customers, as the catering sector still fears potential closure, especially after the news of a temporary lockdown for the sector in St. Petersburg during the New Year holidays.
The declared quality of Atlantic salmon from the farms of Russian Salmon LLC remains questioned. In any case, it does not correspond 100% to the typical quality of chilled fish farmed at sea. But the price is definitely interesting.
In general, trade is even and stable with no New Year season’s rally in progress so far.
