Fish consumption stably on a rise in Russia

Fish consumption in Russia has been on a rise in the recent years and already exceeded docs' recommendations, reports http://www.megafishnet.com/.

More specifically, in its recent electronic report Russia's Federal Statistics Service (Rosstat) says that the nation's annual fish consumption by households has jumped from 17 to 21 kilos per capita from 2005 to 2010.

Head of Analytical Centre of Information Agency on Fisheries Mr. Timur Mitupov says that in 2011 seafood consumption has reached 22 kilos per capita on the average.

In the meantime, the nation's Ministry of Health recommends it at 18-20 kilos.
