Magadan hatcheries released in excess of 30 million salmon fry

Fish hatcheries in Kolyma, Magadan, grew ca.30 million fry of salmon species and started to release them into wild waters, according to SeverDV.

In the Glukhoe Lake the hatcheries ongrow fry, and then stock them into cages in Magadan's district of Novaya Veselaya for adaptation to sea conditions.

In 2008 the province's Olsky hatchery plans to stock ca.10 million chum eggs, 1.5 million coho eggs and 3 million pink salmon eggs.

Armansky hatchery will stock ca.9 million chum salmon eggs and 2 million eggs of pink salmon.
