Teleconference between Rosselkhoznadzor and European Commission (DG SANTE) on Veterinary Electronic Certification

Teleconference between the Rosselkhoznadzor and Directorate General for Public Health and Food Safety (DG SANTE) was held today. Representatives of the Russian Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Federal Customs Service, Ministry of Economic Development and Trade as well as T. Briedis, Agricultural Counselor of the EU Representation in the Russian Federation, took part in the talks, reports www.megafishnet.com with reference to Rosselkhoznadzor..

The parties discussed implementation of veterinary e-certification in the framework of trade between the Russian Federation and the EU member-countries.

The parties summarized preliminary results of the joint work on harmonizing electronic forms of veterinary certificates.

DG SANTE representatives informed that in the nearest time they will provide the Rosselkhoznadzor with veterinary e-certificates finalized with account of comments made by the Russian party.

The parties also agreed on the necessity to continue working on GIS «Mercury» and TRACES integration.

The Rosselkhoznadzor in its turn suggested DG SANTE to provide the Rosselkhoznadzor specialists with expanded access to TRACES system.
