Russian Agriculture ministry to prepare Fishery Development Program

The Agriculture Ministry of Russia is to finish preparation of Russian Fishery Development Program till 2020.  The deadline is end of August.  The Program was mentioned by Minister Nikolay FEDOROV during Duma hearings on WTO, according to http://www.megafishnet.com/.  

The Draft Program was published in February this year. It included some sub-programs concerning different aspects of the industry development.  There will be two stages: 2012-2017 and 2018-2020.  It os planned that catch will reach 6 mln MT, production will be over 5 mln MT.  Fish consumption in Russia will increase to 28 kg per capita.  85% of product at Russian market will be of domestic origin.
