Following the results of the Innoprom-2021 exhibition, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin gave instructions to reform the market of the automatic design systems (CAD) in shipbuilding, reports Megafishnet.com.

According to sudostroenie.info, the direction involves the participation of the United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC), scientific and design organizations in order to prepare and submit proposals for the introduction of domestic CAD systems in the industry.

In addition, the tasks set by the prime minister included the designation of sources of financing for the potential integration of Russian design systems. The deadline for executing the instruction is until December 1, 2021.

An example of a successful domestic software developer is the company ASCON, which reached 2 billion rubles in profit in 2020, and also presented a roadmap for the application of its solutions in shipbuilding for the coming years.
