New major hub in Kamchatka to handle fish cargoes of the Northern Sea Route

Terminal Seroglazka, a part of NOREBO group and a resident of the Free port of Vladivostok, is planning to build a big complex in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky to serve fishing vessels and organize transhipment of refrigerated and dry container cargoes including those of the Northern Sea Route.

The project worth 2.2 billion rubles is being implemented under the agreement with the Far East Development Corporation JSC and is supposed to create up to 300 new jobs.

By 2027 the company is going to build Kamchatka’s second biggest terminal with the annual handing capacity of up to one million metric tons. Towards that end, the company will stepwise implement a new state-of-the-art coldstore complex equipped with a storage rack system and the goods’ registration and distribution robots and a platform for connecting refrigerated containers. The total coldstore capacity will be 20,000 tonnes.

By mid-May 2019 the first stage of the coldstore has been completed, a platform for technological accumulation of refrigerated containers has been equipped. Special equipment has been acquired, 522-meter long meters berthing facilities up to 14 meters deep have been built and reconstructed.
