Leading foreign experts will speak at Global Fishery Forum

The leading speakers from foreign experts and representatives of international organizations confirmed their participation in the business program of the Global Fishery Forum & Seafood Expo Russia 2021.

Last week the organizing committee approved schedule of business program. On the first day, July 6, the plenary session "Impact of the pandemic: new challenges for the fishery complex" will take place.

International experts whose experience is the most valuable in the context of global development are invited to join the discussion as speakers. Heads of relevant ministries from Iceland, the Faroe Islands and Turkey have confirmed their personal participation. Several other foreign delegations are expected to be confirmed soon.

Among Global Fishery Forum speakers are Assistant Director-General and Regional Representative for Europe and Central Asia UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) Vladimir Rakhmanin, CEO Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) Rupert Howes, Director WWF Russia Dmitry Gorshkov.

Business and professional associations will also be represented by foreign speakers, including: the head of the Norwegian Fishermen's Union Kjell Ingebrigtsen, AquaMaof CEO David Hazut,

Regional Director of Russia & Eastern Europe AKVAgroup Kristen Mordal, General Secretary of the Network of Aquaculture Centers in Central-Eastern Europe (NACEE) Peter Lengyel, Vice President of Yantai Tongxiang Foodstuff Co. Zhang Chun-Mei and others.

The IV Global Fishery Forum & Seafood Expo Russia 2021 is the largest event in the Russian fishing industry. The event will take place on 6-8 July 2021 at the Expoforum Exhibition and Convention Centre in St. Petersburg and will be the first major fishing industry event in the world since the outbreak of the pandemic.

The event will be open to all registered visitors. You can register and get a ticket in advance on the official website in the ‘Visitors – Get a ticket’ section. Entry to the event will be free for all visitors.
