Inshore catch health certificate to be issued automatically

January 31, 2021 22:32

Russia’s vet watchdog Rosselkhoznadzor has implemented automatic processing of electronic veterinary certificates based on information about the catch in the inshore fisheries, reports Megafishnet.com.

According to Rosselkhoznadzor, the new development is part of the information exchange with the Federal Agency for Fisheries (FAF).

On the basis of the ship daily reports module Rosselkhoznadzor has implemented the ability to process the catch figures from organizations that conduct inshore fishery by fishing teams or small vessels.

Subject to this feature enabled, the HC will be processed automatically based on the harvest data, without any additional actions in the Mercury vet system.

The companies can submit information about catch using an electronic fishing log with this data sent to the FAF database, then to the "VetIS" System, in which, after appropriate checks, the HC will be automatically processed.
