At a recent video conference the Russian veterinary watchdog Rosselkhoznadzor and the National Fisheries and Aquaculture Service of Chile (Sernapesca) have agreed to launch experimental use of electronic veterinary certificates for the supply of salmon fish and mussels from Chile to the Russian Federation, reports

According to Rosselkhoznadzor, as part of this experiment taking off on November 3, Russian importers will have to provide the nation’s vets with the number of the electronic veterinary certificate or its hard copy, which they receive from the Chilean exporter, when clearing the cargo for export.
