In Novaya Ladoga (Leningrad Region), shipbuilders of the Rostr shipyard launched the fishing trawler called Soligorsk. The vessel is being built by order of the Murmanfishproducts company according to a project developed by the designers of the Marine Engineering Center of St. Petersburg.

Soligorsk was launched on Russia’s only slipway of a side uncontrolled fall.

The trawler’s main engine has a capacity of 1040 kW, and the other power plant includes a 500 kW halogen generator, an auxiliary diesel generator with a capacity of 360 kW and an emergency diesel generator with a capacity of 116 kW. An adjustable pitch screw with a diameter of 2800 mm is installed onboard.

About Soligorsk

Soligorsk has two roller winches with a pulling force of 14 tons each, four cable winches with a pulling force of 10 tons each, two guineas winches with a pulling force of 10 tons, a bag lifting winch, a tie winch, two auxiliary winches, a trawl laying winch and a deck crane with a lifting capacity of 3 tons.

In accordance with the customer's requirements, a fishing complex of the Norwegian manufacturer McGregor is installed onboard; the fish factory occupies an area of 130 sq. m. The trawler can process 30 tons of fish products per day.

The shipyard signed the contract for the construction and supply of the trawler on November 26, 2020, within the framework of the state program "Development of Shipbuilding for 2013-2030". And a month later, on December 25, 2020, a solemn ceremony of laying the vessel was held at the enterprise. It has become the largest vessel for the company in recent decades.

It is worth noting that the GM3.02 project is one of the first domestic projects being built taking into account the 719 Government Decree on financial benefits for shipbuilders. The construction shows import substitution, since the shipyard chose equipment suppliers not among companies registered in Russia, but among those whose production cycle have been confirmed by the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

As explained by Vadim Mikheevsky, technical director of the Rostr yard, Russian know-how has been applied for the trawler at the maximum. In particular, onboard fire safety will be secured by the carbon dioxide fire extinguishing system made by the Russian company Runitor. The system is made of the components manufactured in Russia and the system itself has been designed by Russian engineers. Now the system has already been manufactured and is being prepared for delivery to order. Besides, among other domestic onboard equipment there will be a separator of oil-containing waters, anchor winches, practical things (hatches, doors, portholes, etc.), launching and lifting devices of the duty boat, cargo hatches, etc.

Under the terms of the contract, the Soligorsk vessel will be delivered to the customer in the second quarter of 2023.
