The reconstruction of the Kraskino checkpoint on the border with the People's Republic of China is going at full swing, reports Megafishnet.com.

According to Rosgranstroy, the implementation of the first phase includes new infrastructure facilities at the checkpoint in order to increase its capacity to 250 vehicles per day, which is almost 3 times more than today's specs. Completion of the work is scheduled for December 2021. The project provides for 6 lanes of traffic at the entrance and the same number at the exit, as well as 10 passport control booths.

The next stage of reconstruction provides for an increase in the capacity of up to 750 vehicles per day. Its completion is scheduled for 2024.

Located in the Primorsky Territory on the border with the People's Republic of China, the Kraskino checkpoint is located on the territory of the Free Port of Vladivostok. The modernization of the border crossing, which is part of the infrastructure of the Primorye-2 international transport corridor, will be a serious step towards improving the competitiveness of the Russian transport system in the international transport services market.
