Iceland: About one third of quota held by five companies

The new fishing year started on September 1st. About 33 percent of the fishing quota for the yeaar is held by five companies as listed below, reports www.megafishnet.com with reference to Iceland Seafood International.

>>  HB Grandi, Reykjavik (SW) -  26,578 tons (9.67 % of total quota).

>>  Brim, Reykjavik (SW) -            18,588 tons (6.87%).

>>  Samherji, Akureyri (North) -    16,418 tons (6.07%).

>>  Thorbjorn, Grindavík (SW) -    15,014 tons (5.55%).

>>  FISK-Seafood, Saudarkrokur (North) - 12,877 tons (4.76%).
