Grieg Seafood Hjaltland is shortlisted in the Scotland Food and Drink Excellence Awards 2011

Grieg Seafood Hjaltland UK Ltd, has been shortlisted for the Fish and Seafood category in the Scotland Food and Drink Excellence Awards to be announced at a dinner at the Doubletree by Hilton Dunblane Hydro Hotel in Dunblane on Thursday 26th May, reports www.megafishnet.com with reference to Grieg Seafood Hjaltland UK.

Managing director of Grieg Seafood Hjaltland Ltd, Michael Stark, said: "We are very pleased to have been shortlisted again in these prestigious awards.

We're delighted that after winning last year's Fish and Seafood Category our hard work is still being recognised in our nomination this year."

The nomination follows a number of recent accolades for the company.  Grieg Seafood won International Business of the Year at the Scottish Food and Drink Excellence Awards 2007, it was highly commended in the ‘Best Export Business' category at the Scottish Salmon Farm Awards 2007 and a finalist in the ‘Best Marine Farm', ‘Stewardship', Aquaculture Processor or Retailer of the Year' categories at the Scottish Marine Aquaculture Awards 2008.  The company won the Fish Category in the Quality Food Awards 2009 for WildWaters Smoked Salmon 'Pastrami' and the Fish and Seafood Category in the Scotland Food and Drink Excellence Awards 2010. And most recently the ‘New Business Award' in the Highlands & Islands Food and Drink Awards 2010.
