Government appoints new head of Russian Fisheries Agency

Premier Fradkov has appointed the former director of Kaliningrad Fishing Port Andrey Krainiy as new head of Russia's Federal Fisheries Agency.

Mr. Krainiy is taking over from the outgoing leader Stanislav Ilyasov who, according to the Government release, resigned in connection with transfer to another job.

The new director of the Agency had worked as a journalist till 1995. In 1995 he started a career in fish business in Kaliningrad. His latest appointment was to direct the Kaliningrad Fishing Port.
