Frozen fish market situation in Murmansk as per 19 August 2008
As per 19 August 2008 the fresh frozen fish market situation has displayed few developments, market players based in Murmansk told http://www.fishnet-russia.com/ (https://www.fishnet.ru/).
More specifically, the fleet practically finished harvesting mackerel and the product prices somewhat increased.
The herring catches were dominated by small size fish, and the market traders did not offer herring 300+. The herring traders played a waiting game, as the buyers did not hurry to make deals despite a strong interest in the product.
On all the markets, also in Murmansk, capelin prices were increasing due to the limited supply from Canada.
