Early year results of Russia pollock fishery displaying negative dynamics

As per 12 February 2012 the total Alaska pollock harvest from the beginning of the year amounted to 285,900 MT, thus making only 92% as compared to the same period of 2011 (310,800 MT), reports http://www.megafishnet.com/.

Out of the total catch members of Pollock Fishermen's Association contributed 204,900 MT, which accounted for 97% of the respective result of 2011 (namely 211,440 MT).

From 1 January to 12 February 2012 Russian companies produced 182,026.6 MT of pollock products, including 7,945.8 MT of pollock roe, 134,671.4 MT of headed pollock, 16,707.4 MT of w/r pollock, of which the Association's contribution was as follows: 6,118.6 MT of pollock roe, 104,768.5 MT of headed pollock and 5,171.7 MT of w/r pollock.
