Provisional catch figures for salmon season 2011 in Russia's Far East

According to provisional figures as per 15 November 2011, the total salmon harvest in the Russian Far East in 2011 amounts to 505,000 MT. The grand total harvest including driftnet catches (Russian and Japanese) is as high as 522,300 MT, reports http://www.megafishnet.com/.

The above harvest covers pink salmon catches of 389,700 MT (390,200 MT including driftnet catches), chum salmon - 75,600 MT (82,600 MT), sockeye - 33,800 MT (42,500 MT) and coho salmon - 5,300 MT (6,200 MT).
