From the beginning of the fishery in 2018 the Russian harvest of red king crab amounted to 9,211 metric tons against the TAC of 9,940 tonnes. As per the same day of 2017 the nation’s red king crab catch totaled 9,239 metric tons.

On 12 November 2018 one trawler coming from the North Basin resumed snow crab fishery. Through November the snow crab harvest amounted to 77 metric tons. From the beginning of the year the snow crab catch amounted to 9,741 metric tons (TAC 9,840 metric tons). By the same time last year the snow crab harvest was 7,904 metric tons (TAC 7,870 tonnes).
