Exciting Outlook for Export of Pangasius to Russia
According to Fistenet.gov.vn The Nam Viet Seafood Import Export Joint Stock Co. in the Mekong delta province of An Giang aims to export 100 million USD worth of tra and basa catfish to Russia in the implementation of a memorandum of understanding recently signed with Russian representatives.
The MoU was reached during a visit by Russia's General Consul and a Deputy Fisheries Minister to the company in mid-March. The Russian representatives also visited Nam Viet's factory which processes 700 tonnes of tra and basa catfish per day.
Last year, Nam Viet exported 170 million USD worth of tra and basa catfish, 70 percent of which went to Russia and the European Union.
