Ecosystems 2010: Global Progress on Ecosystem-Based Fisheries Management

Following-up on the international consensus that was achieved in the 1990s on the need for ecosystem-based fisheries management, fisheries scientists from around the world will meet next month at the Ecosystems 2010: Global Progress on Ecosystem-Based Fisheries Management symposium to evaluate whether EBFM is being successfully implemented, reports www.megafishnet.com with reference to FAO.

The meeting, the 26th Lowell Wakefield Fisheries Symposium, will be held in Anchorage, Alaska (United States of America) from 8-11 November 2010.
